| Christian Professional Organizers began meeting together for devotions and prayer at NAPO conferences as early as 1992. They met in hallways, hotel rooms, restaurants and hospitality suites…wherever they could find available space for their informal gatherings. Jean Furuya, of The Office Jeanie, was instrumental in maintaining a contact list from year to year to ensure that those who would be interested in attending the morning devotional time at subsequent conferences could be contacted. | ||||||||||||||

Faithful Organizers, a virtual community of Christian Professional Organizers, was begun in 2001 by Linda Durham of Organizing Matters. Over the years, members of Faithful Organizers grew into the hundreds and became a noticeable presence in the industry. |

At
the Boston NAPO Conference in 2006 the informal gatherings took a new turn.
Christian
Professional Organizers
and Faithful
Organizers
saw the possibilities that combining efforts could create. A core team
emerged to plan, lead & pray for the direction of the informal group.
The team was encouraged by the increased daily attendance over previous
years and by the willingness of a keynote speaker (Sandra Felton) to
volunteer her time in leading a devotional. The positive response from
the attendees during the 3 mornings of prayer and devotion seemed to confirm
that God was blessing this endeavor! After the conference, the
leadership team of Linda Durham, Jean Furuya, Debbie Gilster, Eileen Koff
and Sandy Wright came together by email and phone to plan prayerfully the
transition to what is now called
Faithful Organizers. |
